Joe Kainz has more than 30 years of experience in roles primarily covering Asia. He has served as an editor, writer, editorial writer, correspondent, presenter, and line producer for numerous media organizations, including the South China Morning Post, Star News Asia, Reuters, Kyodo, TVB, KSTP and KARE. From Hong Kong and Japan, he has covered assignments in Afghanistan, Cambodia, China, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri Lanka and more. Joe was also a part-time lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University's media and communications programme and worked in corporate communications for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. At the HKTDC, he was a media liaison, wrote management speeches and press releases, led social media and built the organisation's multimedia production unit. He managed studio and field production for trade promotion efforts in Europe, North America and elsewhere in Asia.  Joe is originally from in the US state of Minnesota where he worked a producer and assignment editor for the local ABC and NBC affiliate television news operations.
